JACARANDA PRODUCTIONS
Bringing people together to create great work is what we do.
Stories are born raw, visceral and immediate. At Jacaranda we help shape stories through their growth and refinement into the compelling theatre, screen and interactive experiences they are destined to be. We are passionate about giving ideas space and time to grow and about collaborating with artists who want to push their work across formats to ensure a project can make the greatest impact on as wide an audience as possible.
We believe in the rigor of performance and the clarity it brings to storytelling. Each production is developed as a living thing – refined by feedback , honed by instinct, and elevated by collaboration.
We are engaged in exploring new technologies and activating them in ways that allow the artist to remain at the centre of the creative act. We are committed to developing work that creates opportunities for women to be leaders in this area.
Co-founders Sarah Goodes and Diana Glenn, bring with them over 30 years of experience and established relationships in both the theatre and film/ television industries. As recent participants of the Masters of Screen Business course at the Australian Film Television and Radio School they are perfectly poised to generate stories that have a distinctive voice and appeal to audiences locally and globally.
Our work connects top tier writers, directors and actors with a production approach that’s both innovative and deeply personal.
A creative home for powerful ideas.
“Diana is one of the sharpest creative minds in the business. Her broad and diverse experience on both sides of the camera gives her a unique voice and standing in the industry. She is terrifyingly talented and intelligent - and an absolute joy to work with.”
Andy Walker - Producer
“Sarah Goodes is an extraordinary director, creative collaborator and artistic ally. She directed the world premiere of my play Golden Shield at Melbourne Theatre Company and helped me bring the play to life with unbridled generosity, patience, clarity, imaginativeness and joy.”
Anchuli Felicia King – Writer
“We create bold, emotionally-driven stories that begin on stage and evolve for screen, crafted to move hearts and cross borders.”
Our Model for Making Stories That Matter.
THEATRE
Theatre is often where our stories begin. It’s a space of immediacy, where ideas are tested live and refined in real time. We use the stage as a creative engine — a way to explore narrative, voice, and audience connection. Whether through full productions, workshops, or readings, we treat theatre as both an end in itself and a powerful springboard for screen development. It’s visceral, bold, and central to how we make work.
SCREEN
We develop screen projects that begin with strong emotional core and character-driven storytelling. Whether adapting work from the stage or developing original concepts, our approach is rooted in depth, clarity, and impact. We work with Australia’s leading writers, directors, and performers to create films, television and online series that resonate with audiences at home and abroad — stories that are intimate in feeling, yet expansive in reach.

Our Mission
Jacaranda was founded from a deep belief in the power of storytelling—to reflect who we are, challenge how we see the world, and stay with us long after the credits roll or the curtains fall. We craft emotionally resonant stories designed to live across multiple mediums, creating meaningful connections with audiences and enduring value for every project.
Our focus is on stories grounded in Australia that speak to universal themes—stories that surprise, move, and stay with you. Through collaboration with visionary artists and a strong commitment to creative development, we strive to bring work into the world that leaves a lasting impact.

“The role of art is to provide the bridge between our biological selves and our technological selves”
