JACARANDA PRODUCTIONS
Bringing people together to tell great stories is what we do.
Jacaranda develops original content for theatre, screen, online, and immersive entertainment. We nurture stories over time with the right team and talent—both established and emerging—aiming to refine each project and place it on the most suitable platform to reach a broad audience as possible.
Jacaranda operates as both a production company and an incubator — a place where ideas are born, nurtured, and realised. We support artists and projects from the earliest conceptual stages through to delivery and distribution. Whether through new commissions, live theatre, development showings, screen adaptations and digital immersive entertainment, we aim to create a sustainable pipeline of bold, emotionally resonant work that speaks to audiences here and internationally.
Founders Diana Glenn and Sarah Goodes have over 30 years’ experience in both the Theatre and Film and Television industries. Both have been awarded the highest awards in their respective fields, Sarah a Helpmann award for Best Direction and Diana an AACTA award for Best Supporting Actor. Both are recent graduates from the Masters of Screen Business from the Australian Film and Television School.
With long standing established working relationships with the most established writers, directors, actors in Australia as well as connections with emerging talent JACARANDA is perfectly positioned to serve as a creative production house that produces the stories for the next generation.
“Diana is one of the sharpest creative minds in the business. Her broad and diverse experience on both sides of the camera gives her a unique voice and standing in the industry. She is terrifyingly talented and intelligent - and an absolute joy to work with.”

“Sarah Goodes is an extraordinary director, creative collaborator and artistic ally. She directed the world premiere of my play Golden Shield at Melbourne Theatre Company and helped me bring the play to life with unbridled generosity, patience, clarity, imaginativeness and joy.”
Anchuli Felicia King – Writer
“We create bold, emotionally-driven stories that begin on stage and evolve for screen, crafted to move hearts and cross borders.”
Our Model for Making Stories That Matter.
THEATRE
Theatre is often where our stories begin. It’s a space of immediacy, where ideas are tested live and refined in real time. We use the stage as a creative engine — a way to explore narrative, voice, and audience connection. Whether through full productions, workshops, or readings, we treat theatre as both an end in itself and a powerful springboard for screen development. It’s visceral, bold, and central to how we make work.
SCREEN
We develop screen projects that begin with strong emotional core and character-driven storytelling. Whether adapting work from the stage or developing original concepts, our approach is rooted in depth, clarity, and impact. We work with Australia’s leading writers, directors, and performers to create films, television and online series that resonate with audiences at home and abroad — stories that are intimate in feeling, yet expansive in reach.

Our Mission
We know a great story when we hear one - and we’ve spent over 30 years turning remarkable ideas into award-winning productions.
Jacaranda is the company we founded to do just that: bring powerful Australian stories to life across stage, screen, and beyond. Together, we’ve worked with some of the country’s most exciting writers, actors and creatives, and now we’re building a home where sustainable creative collaboration comes to life.
We believe great stories aren’t bound by format. They deserve to travel - to shift between mediums, to reach wider audiences, to ripple outward. That’s why at Jacaranda we start at the spark, develop work from the ground up, test it live, and shape the tools it needs to go the distance.
Because when a story is that good, you don’t just produce it, you create the environment it needs to thrive, and share it with the world.
